Presse release: The Invercargill objective: The presentation of the France application approaches!
It’s the final stretch for the « Association pour le Mondial de Tonte de Mouton (AMTM) »!
After more than 1 year of intensive work to promote discipline and to federate all the partners around the proposed organisation of the world competition of 2019 (which will be held in Le Dorat, in the French department of Haute-Vienne). The Fateful moment of the presentation of the application file will soon be upon us.
On 8 February, in Invercargill (New-Zealand), the AMTM will argue in front of an international judging panel, the Golden Shears World Council. The jury will select the country which will receive the world sheep shearing championship of 2019.
The municipality of Le Dorat, the federations of municipalities, the French department of Limousin, the French region of Nouvelle Aquitaine, France through the ministry of agriculture, the partners and a whole community have been mobilised for the organisation of this major event. To compete with Northern Ireland, this enthusiasm will be a compelling argument for the AMTM members.
Christophe Riffaud, the President of the association keeps telling us that « The world sheep shearing championship will be unforgettable for Frenchs and foreigners who will come ».
The AMTM, through this organisation, strives for excellence and wants to testify of the French level which evolves continuously.
